Tasting Notes

Nose : Thin and elegant, the ripe fruit aromas dominate.

Palate : Easily enjoyed, even young, this wine is characterized by a nice fruity taste and supported by the minerality in the finish which gives it a great length.

Laying : Drink after two or three years or lay down for seven to nine years depending on the vintages.

Terroir

Very nicely located parcel, on the hill below the "Murgers des dents de chien". It is facing south-west.

Soil

Very chalky.

Grape Variety

100% Chardonnay.

Age of the vines

14 years.

Harvesting

100% Manual.

Destemming

No destemming but a crushing before the pneumatic pressing.

Winemaking

After pressing, the must is directly put into barrels where the alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place. Aged entirely in barrels with 20% new barrels.

Alcohol

13% Vol.

Ageing

10 to 15 months

Production

About 1 500 Bottles.
