Bettane et Desseauve - 2009 ***
A very united family, a lot of generosityn a natural taste for the right flavor, beautiful vines on the
best terroirs form Saint-Aubin and Santenay, all of this explains the constant success of this
domaine since nearly twenty years. Today, it still keeps a small advance in the sense of a greater harmony in shape
and in flavor, and moslty its white wines have gained a reliability in style that was longer to acquire. Despite
the awful hail storm of the year, the domaine's course in 2005 is perfect. The white 2006s are without the
slightest doubt, along the ones of of Olivier Lamy, the best wines ever produced in Saint-Aubin
Back to the press review
Gold and green colour, delicious white flowery nose, remarkable subtlety of expression and
a surprising vivacity for the vintage with lemon notes in the finish which make it perfect for the apéritif.
Splendid burst of aromatic purity, ripe grape but without lifelessness, oaky notes, subtlely
interpreted terroir, the mastering of the ageing and bottling process has improved again. A reference.
This terroir's race is confirmed and the wine reaches the level of the best premiers crus from
Chassagne or Puligny. Cristalline purity in this vintage full of warmth, long and
sophisticated finish. A great wine.
Great aromatic elegance, rich wine, already unbound tannins (usual for the domain), long, nicely done.
Generous, soft, easily appreciated tanins, rather complex, completely in the domaine's standard.
